Xavier University had spent years intentionally growing their online program offerings, carving out space in an increasingly competitive digital education landscape. But as the programs expanded, their existing CMS and digital tools began to fall short. The system lacked flexibility, customization, and the functional power needed to match their ambitions — both for their internal marketing teams and for prospective students navigating the site.

Beyond technology, Xavier needed to strike a visual and strategic balance. They wanted a digital presence that would speak to a broader, national audience while still honoring the heritage and character that makes Xavier, Xavier. The challenge was to create something new — a distinct identity for their online programs — without losing the familiarity and trust their name carries.

To bridge that gap, we developed a visual identity and web experience designed specifically for Xavier Online — one that felt fresh and modern but still unmistakably Xavier. The design system introduced updated color palettes, typography, and a content-forward layout that made it easier for users to explore programs, get questions answered, and take the next step. Subtle animations, custom iconography, and textured overlays helped create a more dynamic, welcoming feel.

On the back end, we implemented a flexible CMS designed to grow with the institution. The new system allows Xavier’s internal teams to easily build out pages, tailor content by audience or program, and make quick updates without needing constant developer support. The result is a site that not only elevates the online brand — but also empowers the Xavier team to market more efficiently and effectively across channels.
