An all new B2C e-commerce website with a custom integration between WooCommerce and Sage 100, their inventory management system, to speed up the fulfillment process.
In order to sell products and fulfill orders, Up With Paper had to manage those processes independently of each other. Their previous website was not only outdated visually, but also didn’t interact with their inventory management system. They were looking to improve the processes while updating their site to better represent the brand.
Information Architecture:
Due to the restructuring of Up With Paper’s selling strategy, we separated their B2C and B2B operations. It was critical to have an understanding of how customers used the previous site as we were determining the best way to structure the new site. We worked with Up With Paper to not only restructure pages on their site, but also to develop a better categorization structure for their products to make them more accessible on both sites.
Design:
This site was one of three in a larger initiative to overhaul Up With Paper’s e-commerce websites and customer experience. Previously, they housed both their B2C and B2B sales on the same site. This created a problem because the needs and wants can be vastly different for those two clients types. Given Up With Paper’s two brands (Up With Paper & UWP Luxe), we wanted to develop separate B2C sites that communicated the unique character of the brands. Wireframes and mockups were used extensively prior to development to ensure we were aligned on the visual representation of the brand.
Custom Integration:
Our custom WooCommerce / Sage integration allows real-time product data from Sage to populate into WooCommerce. Prior, Up With Paper had to manage their site and product information separately. We worked in collaboration with the Up With Paper team and Martin and Associates to develop custom functionality on both the WooCommerce and Sage side. Now, the fulfillment team, sales team, and design team can coordinate more efficiently and seamlessly to improve the buying process.
